This object sets the Hello hold time an LDP Targeted Session proposes to its peer, i.e. how long the peer should wait without hearing a Hello before declaring the session dead, with 0 meaning 'use the default 45 seconds for Targeted Hellos' and 65535 meaning the hold time never expires. Administrators adjust it to balance fast failure detection against tolerance for transient packet loss between two routers that aren't adjacent on a LAN. For example, setting this to 65535 on a session to a rarely-changing backup PE would prevent the session from ever timing out due to hello loss.
