This setting matches the BGP origin attribute recorded in a route's AS path, letting the import policy filter on whether the route was learned via an interior gateway protocol (igp), an exterior gateway protocol (egp, now deprecated), is of unknown origin, or is set to any to ignore the field. An admin uses it to permit or deny routes based on how confidently their origin is known. For example, setting csImpPolOrigin to unknown(1) targets routes whose origin cannot be determined, which some operators prefer to treat with lower trust.
