csDs3Ds1LoopbackStatus

Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csDs3Ds1LoopbackStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.2.2.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This variable represents the current state of the loopback on the DS1 interface. It contains information about loopbacks established by a manager and remotely from the far end. NOTE: This is applicable only for T1.

The csDs3Ds1LoopbackStatus is a bit map represented as a sum, therefore is can represent multiple loopbacks simultaneously.

The various bit positions are: 1 ds1NoLoopback 2 ds1NearEndPayloadLoopback 4 ds1NearEndLineLoopback 8 ds1NearEndOtherLoopback 16 ds1NearEndInwardLoopback 32 ds1FarEndPayloadLoopback 64 ds1FarEndLineLoopback

What is csDs3Ds1LoopbackStatus?

This read-only value is a bitmap reporting which loopbacks, including remotely initiated ones, are currently active on this DS1/T1 channel, applicable only for T1. It lets an admin confirm whether a per-channel loopback request actually took effect on that specific T1 within the channelized DS3. For example, after requesting a payload loopback on one channel, a technician checks that channel's csDs3Ds1LoopbackStatus to confirm the loopback bit is actually set before running test traffic.
