csDs3ConfigSendCode

Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csDs3ConfigSendCode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.2.1.1.21

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This variable indicates what type of code is being sent across the DS3 interface by the device. Setting this variable causes the interface to begin sending the code requested. The values mean:

sendNoCode sending looped or normal data

sendLineCode sending a request for a line loopback

sendPayloadCode sending a request for a payload loopback (i.e., all DS1/E1s in a DS3/E3 frame)

sendResetCode sending a loopback deactivation request NOTE: This is applicable only for DS3.

What is csDs3ConfigSendCode?

This read-write value both reports and, when set, commands which loopback-request code the DS3 interface transmits toward the far end. It lets a technician remotely request the far-end equipment to enter a line or payload loopback for circuit testing, or reset a previously requested loopback. For example, a technician sets csDs3ConfigSendCode to ds3SendLineCode to request a far-end line loopback, then checks continuity before setting it back to ds3SendNoCode to restore normal traffic.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> COSINE-ORION-MIB::csDs3ConfigSendCode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.2.1.1.21.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> COSINE-ORION-MIB::csDs3ConfigSendCode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.2.1.1.21.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> csDs3ConfigSendCode.1
