Description: This variable indicates the Line Status of the interface. It contains loopback state information and failure state information. The csDs3ConfigLineStatus is a bit map represented as a sum, therefore, it can represent multiple failures and a loopback (see csDs3ConfigLoopbackStatus object for the type of loopback) simultaneously. The ds3NoAlarm must be set if and only if no other flag is set. If the ds3LoopbackState bit is set, the loopback in effect can be determined from the csDs3ConfigLoopbackStatus object. What is csDs3ConfigLineStatus?
This read-only value is a bitmap reporting the DS3 interface's current line alarm and loopback state, where a 'no alarm' bit is set only when nothing else is flagged. It is the primary field for diagnosing DS3 line health, since it can flag multiple simultaneous alarm conditions in a single polled value. For example, an admin decodes a nonzero csDs3ConfigLineStatus value into its component alarm bits to determine whether a reported outage is a loss-of-signal condition rather than an active loopback.
