Description: To specify the maximum TTL value for the TTL in the IP Header for BGP packets. This attribute is applicable only for ebgp sessions. This attribute deprecates csBgpNbrMhopGw attribute. If this attribute is configured for a IBGP peer it has no effect. If the Nbr belongs to a NbrGroup and this attribute is not set, the Nbr inherits the group level value of this attribute
What is csBgpNbrMhopTTL?
This object specifies the maximum TTL to set in the IP header of BGP packets for this eBGP neighbor, used for multi-hop eBGP sessions and deprecating the older csBgpNbrMhopGw attribute; it has no effect on iBGP peers. Administrators raise the TTL value when the eBGP peer is multiple router hops away rather than directly connected. For example, an engineer sets csBgpNbrMhopTTL to 5 for an eBGP peer reachable across four intermediate routers, ensuring BGP packets aren't dropped for exceeding a too-low TTL.
