Description: This attribute is used to strip private as numbers from the aspath advertised to the neighbor. This attribute is used only with EBGP neighbors. Configuring this attribute to an IBGP peer has no effect. default is -1 which indicates not configured and disabled. This attribute can be over-ridden for each Nbr in the group by setting the csBgpNbrNextHopSelf attribute.
What is csBgpNbrGroupRemovePrivateAs?
This object strips private AS numbers from the AS path advertised to eBGP peers in this group, with no effect on iBGP peers, overridable per neighbor. Administrators enable this group-wide when an entire set of eBGP peers should never see internal private-AS path segments. For example, an engineer enables csBgpNbrGroupRemovePrivateAs for a group of internet transit peers, ensuring none of them ever sees private AS numbers used internally within this network's confederation.
