Description: To specify the maximum TTL value for the TTL in the IP Header for BGP packets. This attribute is applicable only for ebgp sessions. This attribute deprecates csBgpNbrGroupMhopGw attribute. If this attribute is configured to an IBGP peer it has not effect. This attribute can be over-ridden for each Nbr in the group by setting the csBgpNbrMhopTTL attribute
What is csBgpNbrGroupMhopTTL?
This object sets the maximum TTL for BGP packets sent to eBGP peers in this group, deprecating the group-level csBgpNbrGroupMhopGw attribute, with no effect on iBGP peers, overridable per neighbor. Administrators use it to permit multi-hop eBGP sessions across an entire group of peers reachable via intermediate routers. For example, an engineer sets csBgpNbrGroupMhopTTL to 3 for a group of eBGP peers each two or three hops away, ensuring their BGP packets aren't dropped for a too-restrictive default TTL.
