csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVpiBits
Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB
OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVpiBits
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.5.1.1.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-only
Description: The maximum number of VPI Bits that may currently be used at this ATM interface. The value is the minimum of AtmInterfaceMaxActiveVpiBits, and the AtmInterfaceMaxActiveVpiBits of the interface's UNI/NNI peer.
If the interface does not negotiate with its peer to determine the number of VPI Bits that can be used on the interface, then the value of this object must equal AtmInterfaceMaxActiveVpiBits.
What is csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVpiBits?
This read-only Integer32 (0 to 16) reports the maximum number of VPI bits currently usable on this ATM interface, computed as the minimum of the locally configured value and the peer's negotiated value, defaulting to the local configuration if no negotiation occurs. An admin checks this to confirm that VPI addressing negotiated with a UNI/NNI peer matches what was intended locally. For example, if csAtmInterfaceConfMaxActiveVpiBits is configured to 8 locally but the peer only supports 4, csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVpiBits would read 4, and the admin would know the effective VPI space is smaller than configured.
