csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVciBits

Module: COSINE-ORION-MIB

OID (symbolic): COSINE-ORION-MIB::csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVciBits

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3085.3.1.3.5.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: The maximum number of VCI Bits that may currently be used at this ATM interface. The value is the minimum of AtmInterfaceMaxActiveVciBits, and the AtmInterfaceMaxActiveVciBits of the interface's UNI/NNI peer.

If the interface does not negotiate with its peer to determine the number of VCI Bits that can be used on the interface, then the value of this object must equal AtmInterfaceMaxActiveVciBits.

What is csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVciBits?

This read-only Integer32 (0 to 16) reports the maximum number of VCI bits currently usable on this ATM interface, computed as the minimum of the local configuration and the peer's negotiated value. An admin checks it the same way as its VPI counterpart, to see the effective negotiated VCI address space rather than just the locally configured intent. For example, a mismatch where csAtmInterfaceConfCurrentMaxVciBits reads lower than csAtmInterfaceConfMaxActiveVciBits would tell the admin the peer is constraining the usable VCI range.
