Module: CORE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CORE-MIB::coreSlotsActNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Actual number of non empty slots

What is coreSlotsActNumber?

This read-only INTEGER reports the actual number of non-empty (card-populated) slots in the chassis. An admin uses it alongside coreSlotsMaxNumber to see how much slot capacity is already in use versus available. For example, seeing coreSlotsActNumber at 10 against a coreSlotsMaxNumber of 16 tells the admin six slots remain free for new cards.
