coreSlotType
Module: CORE-MIB
OID (symbolic): CORE-MIB::coreSlotType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: Type of the slot
What is coreSlotType?
This read-only INTEGER enumerates what kind of card, if any, occupies a slot, including values such as empty, cooper20 line card, mCoreAgent, or several mCore WDM/gigabit card variants. An admin uses it to inventory chassis hardware remotely without physically opening the rack. For example, an admin scans coreSlotType across all slots and finds slot 3 reads empty(1), confirming a card that should be there is actually missing.
