coreSlotPosition

Module: CORE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CORE-MIB::coreSlotPosition

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Position of the slot: the leftest slot has position 1

What is coreSlotPosition?

This read-only INTEGER reports the physical position of a slot in the chassis, with position 1 being the leftmost slot. An admin uses it to map an SNMP-reported slot index to a physical bay when they need to locate a card to service it. For example, an admin sees coreSlotPosition=1 and knows that is the leftmost slot in the rack when tracking down a faulty card reported by SNMP.
