corePortDuplex

Module: CORE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CORE-MIB::corePortDuplex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.3.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: ???

What is corePortDuplex?

This read-write INTEGER configures a port's duplex mode as half or full. An admin verifies this matches the connected device's duplex setting, since a mismatch is a classic cause of collisions and degraded throughput. For example, an admin sets corePortDuplex to full(2) after noticing collision counts on that port consistent with a duplex mismatch with the attached switch.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.3.1.11
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CORE-MIB::corePortDuplex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.3.1.11.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CORE-MIB::corePortDuplex.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.3.1.11.1 i <value>
