coreChannelNumber

Module: CORE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CORE-MIB::coreChannelNumber

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.4.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: ???

What is coreChannelNumber?

This read-only INTEGER, whose description is unclear in the source MIB, is the identifying number of a WDM channel, functioning as an index for per-channel objects. An admin uses it to know exactly which wavelength channel a given optical power or wavelength reading applies to. For example, an admin matches coreChannelNumber=3 to the third wavelength channel when a customer reports transmission issues on that circuit.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.4.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CORE-MIB::coreChannelNumber

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.629.1.50.9.4.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CORE-MIB::coreChannelNumber.1
