cmTrunkConnectionIndex

Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmTrunkConnectionIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1996.20.18.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This value is the second index to the table. When used with the master SCM PII index, cmTrunkConnectionTrunkMaster, it will identify one of the inter-shelf trunks for that side of the system. This index itself is arbitrary but will give the operator the state and PII values of each end of the connection. Numbering for each side of the system will begin at 1 and there will be no gaps.

What is cmTrunkConnectionIndex?

This read-only INTEGER (1..4) is the second table index identifying one specific inter-shelf trunk connection under a given trunk-master SCM, numbered sequentially from 1 with no gaps. An admin uses it to enumerate every trunk link on one side of the chassis and inspect each one's state and endpoint PIIs. For example, an admin iterates cmTrunkConnectionIndex 1 through 4 under trunk master PII 1.2 to check all four inter-shelf trunks on that side.
