What is cmShelfObjectClass?
cmShelfObjectClass is a read-only enumeration identifying the physical chassis model of a given shelf, such as ce200Shelf or ce150Shelf, using only the 'shelf*' values as the description notes. An administrator reads it to confirm which chassis type occupies a given rack position, since different shelf models have different slot layouts and card capacities as illustrated in the object's own port-map diagram. For example, an operator planning to add line cards would check cmShelfObjectClass to confirm a shelf is a ce200Shelf before assuming it has the ce200's specific slot arrangement.
