cmLoopHistTestParameter1

Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmLoopHistTestParameter1

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1996.20.10.12.1.12

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The value of this object is test type dependent. For the EOC loopback test type, it specifies the address of the network element to loop back to the system. Valid values are 0-6. A value of 0 always addresses the NT (CPE) and values 1-6 indicate the number of hops away from the LT (Line Card).

What is cmLoopHistTestParameter1?

cmLoopHistTestParameter1 is a read-only integer preserving the test-type-dependent parameter used for a completed, archived loopback test, which for an EOC test recorded the specific network element addressed (0 for the CPE, 1-6 for hops toward the line card). An administrator reviews this historical value to know precisely which point along the loop a given archived EOC test targeted. For example, comparing this parameter across several historical EOC tests lets the operator confirm whether earlier troubleshooting tested progressively closer or farther points along the same loop.
