cmHSSIDTEReady is a read-only enumeration reflecting the output signal this system's HSSI port asserts to indicate the DTE side is ready to transmit data. An administrator checks this to confirm the local system side of the HSSI link is asserting readiness when diagnosing a link that won't come up. For example, if cmHSSIDTEReady shows not-ready(1) even though the port is enabled, the operator would suspect an internal card fault rather than an issue with the far-end equipment.
