cmHDSLModemCpeCode

Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmHDSLModemCpeCode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1996.10.3.1.1.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The value of this object describes certain charateristics that are unique to this CPE. For example line polarity, di-bit ordering, preactiviation signaling, etc. The CpeCode for a specific manufacturer's CPE is assigned and distributed by Copper Mountain Networks.

What is cmHDSLModemCpeCode?

A read-write integer describing vendor-assigned characteristics unique to the connected CPE, such as line polarity or bit ordering, needed for interoperability. Getting this code wrong for a third-party CPE can prevent the HDSL pair from training at all, so an admin sets it according to the value Copper Mountain Networks assigns for that specific CPE model. When connecting a third-party CPE that consistently fails to train, the admin would confirm cmHDSLModemCpeCode is set to the exact value assigned for that CPE model rather than a default.
