Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmFrDlcmiDceN393

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1996.10.9.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This is the number of N392 intervals over which the error threshold is counted. For example, if within 'DceN393' number of events the station receives 'DceN392' number of errors, the interface is marked as down.

What is cmFrDlcmiDceN393?

A read-write integer, from 1 to 10, specifying the number of N392 intervals over which the error threshold is counted before the interface is marked down. Together with DceN392, this defines exactly how many polling failures within how many intervals it takes before the system declares the frame relay link down, which an admin tunes to balance false-down alarms against real fault detection. An admin who finds the link being marked down too aggressively during minor glitches would increase cmFrDlcmiDceN393 so more consecutive errors are required before the interface is declared down.
