This read-only Counter tracks the count of frames that hit 16 transmit collisions and were consequently dropped on the CPE's Ethernet interface, tallied per hourly interval. Operationally, reaching the 16-collision limit means the Ethernet segment is so congested or faulty that a frame could never get through, and Ethernet gives up on it. For example, a sustained rise in this counter alongside general TxCollisions would tell an admin the customer's LAN segment is badly congested or has a wiring fault causing constant collisions.
