What is cmCpeDataPortTotalTxDiscards?
This read-only Counter reports the total number of frames intended for transmission that were discarded on the data port since the system was last restarted. Operationally, a large lifetime transmit-discard total points to a persistent congestion or hardware issue rather than a brief one-time event. For example, an admin who finds this lifetime transmit-discard total climbing steadily even during a fresh 15-minute interval knows the underlying congestion issue is ongoing, not resolved.
