cmCpeDataPortTerminalTiming

Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmCpeDataPortTerminalTiming

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1996.10.12.1.1.6

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: If this object is set to yes, CPE will assert terminal timing.

What is cmCpeDataPortTerminalTiming?

This read-write enumerated INTEGER (disable, enable) controls whether the CPE asserts terminal timing on the data port. An admin enables this when the attached DTE device is expected to provide its own clocking signal back to the CPE rather than relying solely on the CPE's clock. For example, enabling terminal timing on a port connected to equipment with its own precise clock source helps avoid timing-related bit errors on that serial link.
