This read-only Counter reports the count of octets received in valid frames by the CPE during the hour, tracked hourly on the CPE side of the DSL link. Operationally, it gives an admin the CPE's own view of downstream byte volume for that hour, useful for cross-checking against the head-end's counters. For example, an admin summing this CPE-side received-octet count across all 24 hourly buckets can build a full-day downstream usage picture as observed by the customer's own equipment.
