cmCpeBoardGroupMap

Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmCpeBoardGroupMap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1996.20.6.1.1.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: Each octet in this string contains a Group ID that identifies a Copper Mountain database/MIB group that this CPE supports. The supported database/MIB groups represented by different octet values are as follows:

56 = cmCpeHDSLModemTable 57 = cmCpeDSLIntervalTable 58 = cmCpeEthernetIntervalTable 64 = cmCpeBoardTable 97 = cmCpeIDSLModemTable 130 = cmCpeDataPortTable 131 = cmCpeDataPortIntervalTable 132 = cmCpeDataPortTotalTable

What is cmCpeBoardGroupMap?

cmCpeBoardGroupMap is a read-only octet string where each octet is a numeric Group ID (such as 56 for cmCpeHDSLModemTable or 64 for cmCpeBoardTable) indicating which Copper Mountain database/MIB groups a given CPE supports. An administrator or management application reads this to know in advance which statistics and configuration tables it can safely query for that particular CPE, since not every CPE type populates every table. For example, before attempting to read cmCpeDataPortTable for a subscriber's CPE, the operator would first check whether cmCpeBoardGroupMap includes Group ID 130 to confirm that table applies to that unit.
