What is cmBoardHwVersion?
cmBoardHwVersion is a read-only display string giving a card's hardware revision in major.minor form, for example 1.0. An administrator checks it to confirm which hardware revision is installed when troubleshooting a defect that is known to affect only certain board revisions. For example, if a vendor advisory only applies to hardware revision 1.0, the operator would read cmBoardHwVersion across all line cards to find which slots need replacement.
