Module: COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB

OID (symbolic): COPPER-MOUNTAIN-NETWORKS-DSL-MIB::cmAtmVclAal5CpcsTransmitSduSize

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: An instance of this object only exists when the local VCL end-point is also the VCC end-point, and AAL5 is in use. It is the maximum AAl5 CPCS SDU size, in octets, that is supported on the transmit direction of this VCC.

DEFAULT: 1600

What is cmAtmVclAal5CpcsTransmitSduSize?

A read-only integer giving the maximum AAL5 CPCS SDU size, in octets, supported in the transmit direction of this VCC, defaulting to 1600. This effectively caps the largest frame the circuit can send, so an admin checks it when interoperating with equipment that expects a different maximum packet size to avoid fragmentation or drops. If a customer's larger frames are being fragmented unexpectedly, the admin would check whether cmAtmVclAal5CpcsTransmitSduSize is still at its 1600-octet default rather than a larger negotiated value.
