OID (symbolic): CONTROLLER-MIB::diskTemperature

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.31218.3.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Disk temperature (in degree Celsius)

What is diskTemperature?

A read-only integer reporting the controller's disk temperature in degrees Celsius, ranging from 0 to 100. Elevated disk temperature is an early hardware-health warning, since overheating drives are prone to failure and data loss, so admins monitor this for gradual thermal drift. If diskTemperature climbs steadily toward the upper end of its range over several days, the admin would check the controller's cooling fans or airflow before the drive suffers a heat-related failure.
