hpSwitchStpHelloTime
Module: CONFIG-MIB
OID (symbolic): CONFIG-MIB::hpSwitchStpHelloTime
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.7.1.14.1.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Timeout
Access: read-write
Description: The amount of time between the transmission of Configuration bridge PDUs by this node on any port when it is the root of the spanning tree or trying to become so, in units of hundredths of a second. This is the actual value that this bridge is currently using.
What is hpSwitchStpHelloTime?
This read-write Timeout value, in hundredths of a second, sets the interval between Configuration BPDU transmissions when this bridge is (or is trying to become) the root of the spanning tree, reflecting the value actually in use. Admins rarely change it from the standard interval, but might tune it in specialized topologies. For example, an admin fine-tuning STP convergence behavior on a large VLAN would review hpSwitchStpHelloTime alongside MaxAge and ForwardDelay to make sure the timers are internally consistent.
