What is hpSwitchPortLinkbeat?
This read-write enumeration enables or disables the linkbeat signaling function on a port. Admins might disable it for compatibility with older or non-standard equipment that doesn't handle linkbeat pulses correctly. For example, an admin connecting to a legacy device that misbehaves with link-integrity pulses would disable hpSwitchPortLinkbeat on that specific port to work around the incompatibility.
