This object provides the mode of data transfer operation on a port. The port can transfer the data either in full-duplex or in half-duplex mode. In full-duplex mode, the port can send and receive the data simultaneously. In half-duplex mode, the port can either send or receive data at any given time. In auto mode, the port negotiates the duplex mode with the port at the other end of the link. When configured in auto mode at both ends of the link, the port conforms to the following duplex modes for different Ethernet types: Ethernet (10 Mbps) - Half-duplex Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) - Half-duplex Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps) - Full-duplex 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 Gbps) - Full-duplex 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40 Gbps) - Full-duplex .
