What is hpSwitchIgmpIpMcastState2?
This read-write enumeration sets the IGMP multicast handling (auto, blocked, or forward) for a specific VLAN on a specific port, the per-VLAN counterpart of hpSwitchIgmpIpMcastState. An admin sets this when the same physical port carries multiple VLANs that need different multicast policies, for example snooping on a voice VLAN but forwarding everything on a video-distribution VLAN. For example, setting forward(3) for VLAN 40 on a core-facing port lets a video head-end's multicast streams pass through unfiltered while other VLANs on that port remain snooped.
