Description: ABC control is either IP&IPX or IP or IPX or disabled for each VLAN on the switch.
What is hpSwitchABCConfigControl?
This read-write enumeration sets Automatic Broadcast Control for a VLAN to ipipx(1), ip(2), ipx(3), or disable(4), determining which broadcast protocols ABC's control mechanisms apply to on that VLAN. Admins use it to reduce unnecessary broadcast/RIP flooding for the protocols actually in use on a given VLAN. For example, an admin running a pure IP network on a VLAN would set hpSwitchABCConfigControl to ip(2) so ABC only manages IP broadcast behavior there.
