copyNotificationOnCompletion

Module: CONFIG-COPY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CONFIG-COPY-MIB::copyNotificationOnCompletion

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.1.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-create

Description: Specifies whether or not a copyCompletion notification should be issued on completion of the tftp transfer. If such a notification is desired, it is the responsibility of the management entity to ensure that the SNMP administrative model is configured in such a way as to allow the notification to be delivered.

What is copyNotificationOnCompletion?

This read-create TruthValue specifies whether the device should fire a copyCompletion notification once the transfer finishes, with the caveat that the management station must have its SNMP notification delivery properly configured to actually receive it. Admins enable it so an automated backup or restore job can alert them without needing to poll copyState repeatedly. For example, an admin running a scheduled config push would set this to true so a trap confirms success or failure instead of requiring manual follow-up.
