What is sysLogLocalStatus?
This read-write setting turns on or off keeping the switch's own system event log stored locally on the device. An admin enables this so a rolling history of switch events remains available for later review even without a remote syslog server configured. For example, enabling local logging retains a record of recent switch events viewable directly on the device, useful for troubleshooting a problem after the fact even if no external syslog server is set up.
