Description: The maximum transimission distance in meters of the Small Form Pluggable (SFP) optical transceiver module.
What is sfpDistance?
This read-only value reports the maximum supported cable distance, in meters, for the installed SFP transceiver. An admin uses this to verify a given transceiver is actually rated for the physical fiber run it's connected to, since exceeding the rated distance can cause an unreliable or non-functional link. For example, if a fiber run between two buildings is 8km long, the admin would check this OID to confirm the installed SFP's rated distance actually covers that span before troubleshooting other causes of link instability.
