Module: COMTROL-ES8510-MIB

OID (symbolic): COMTROL-ES8510-MIB::qosPortTrust

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2882.2.1.1.6.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Two kinds of priority information are token into consideration when a packet is processed. One is COS, the IEEE 802.3ac tag containing IEEE 802.1p priority information, and the other is DSCP, the IPv4 Type of Service/DiffServ field. (1)COS only: the port priority will only follow the COS priority that you have assigned. (2)DSCP only: the port priority will only follow the DSCP priority that you have assigned. (3)COS first: the port priority will follow the COS priority first, and then other priority rule. (4)DSCP first: the port priority will follow the DSCP priority first, and the other priority rule.

What is qosPortTrust?

This read-write setting selects which marking the port trusts when deciding a packet's forwarding priority: the Layer 2 COS (802.1p) tag only, the Layer 3 DSCP field only, or one as a first preference over the other. An admin picks dscp-first or dscp-only on links carrying traffic from devices that mark priority at Layer 3 rather than tagging Ethernet frames. For example, setting an inter-switch trunk to dscp-first(4) ensures Layer-3-marked VoIP or video traffic keeps its priority as it crosses the trunk even from devices that never applied an 802.1p COS tag.

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2882.2.1.1.6.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> COMTROL-ES8510-MIB::qosPortTrust.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2882.2.1.1.6.2.1.2.1 i <value>
