What is portSfpScan?
This read-write setting triggers or enables the switch to re-scan and detect the SFP module currently installed in a given port. An admin uses this to force the switch to refresh its knowledge of a transceiver's presence and characteristics, useful after a module has just been physically swapped. For example, after a technician replaces an SFP module in a port, the admin might set this OID to enabled to make the switch immediately re-detect and report the new module's details rather than waiting for the next automatic poll.
