This read-only integer identifies which physical port a per-instance MSTP configuration row describes. An admin uses it together with the instance ID to pinpoint exactly which port's settings within which instance are being shown. For example, a row reporting port number 4 tells the admin the accompanying path cost and priority values apply specifically to physical port 4 within whatever instance the row is filed under.
