What is eventLogIndex?
This read-only integer is the index number identifying a specific entry in the device's event log table. It gives each logged event a stable identifier an admin can reference when correlating log entries retrieved via SNMP. For example, an admin scripting a poller would track the highest eventLogIndex seen to detect when new events have been added.
