Description: Select which warning machanism to take place when the device cold starts.

What is eventDeviceColdStartEvent?

This read-write setting selects which warning mechanism-such as an SNMP trap, the fault relay, syslog, or email-fires when the device performs a cold start, meaning a full power cycle rather than a software-initiated reboot. An admin configures this so a full power loss event is reported distinctly from a routine software reset. For example, configuring this to trigger an SNMP trap means the network management system is immediately alerted whenever the switch loses and regains power, letting staff distinguish that event from an administrator simply issuing a reboot command.
