What is dot1xPortHostMode?
This read-write setting determines whether a port permits authentication and access for only a single MAC address (single) or for multiple simultaneously authenticated devices (multiple). An admin uses multiple mode on a port feeding a small unmanaged hub with several devices behind it. For example, setting a port to multiple(2) when it feeds an unmanaged desk hub lets several separately-authenticated PCs behind that hub each gain access, rather than the port being limited to whichever single device authenticates first.
