What is dhcpOption82RemoteIdType?
This read-write setting selects the data format, any, string, or hexadecimal, used for the Remote-ID field inserted into DHCP option 82. Like the Circuit-ID type, choosing the correct format ensures the Remote-ID value is interpreted correctly by the receiving DHCP infrastructure. For example, an admin standardizing on hex-encoded device identifiers across their DHCP relay infrastructure would set this to hexadecimal.
