What is vmsTotalUser?
This is the total clock ticks all CPUs combined have spent in User mode, excluding compatibility-mode time, since the system was booted. An administrator uses this system-wide aggregate to see how much of the machine's overall CPU capacity is consumed by application workloads. For example, comparing vmsTotalUser to vmsTotalIdle over time gives the administrator a system-wide utilization trend independent of how many CPUs are installed.
