What is sPsBatch?
This is a running count of processes classified as batch processes on the VMS system. An administrator uses this counter to monitor how much of the system's process load comes from queued batch jobs, which is useful for capacity planning around scheduled batch windows. For example, sPsBatch climbing sharply at the start of a nightly batch run would confirm the scheduled jobs launched as expected.
