uartStopBits

Module: COMPEX-IN3000

OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::uartStopBits

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.14.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The number of stop bits used by the serial port.

What is uartStopBits?

This read-write enumerated value sets whether the IN3000's serial port uses one or two stop bits per character frame. An admin configures their terminal to match this setting exactly, since a stop-bit mismatch causes intermittent framing errors on the console link. An admin seeing uartFramingErrors rise on the console port would double-check that uartStopBits matches what their terminal emulator is configured to use.
