uartParity
Module: COMPEX-IN3000
OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::uartParity
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.14.8
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The data parity used by the serial port.
What is uartParity?
This read-write enumerated value sets the parity checking mode, none, even, or odd, used by the IN3000's serial port. An admin must configure their terminal software with the matching parity setting, since a mismatch here will cause uartParityErrors to accumulate and garble console text. Setting uartParity to none, the most common convention, would be the typical fix an admin applies if console characters are appearing corrupted.
