uartDataBits
Module: COMPEX-IN3000
OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::uartDataBits
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.14.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The the number of data bits used by the serial port.
What is uartDataBits?
This read-write enumerated value sets the number of data bits, from five to eight, used by the IN3000's serial port framing. An admin must match this setting on their terminal software exactly, since a data-bits mismatch will corrupt every character exchanged over the console. Changing uartDataBits to eight would be the typical adjustment an admin makes if the factory default does not match modern terminal emulator conventions.
