trapStatus

Module: COMPEX-IN3000

OID (symbolic): COMPEX-IN3000::trapStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.426.1.4.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The trap status. This MIB variable is used to delete a trap receiver from the trap table.

What is trapStatus?

This read-write enumerated INTEGER is used to delete a trap receiver entry from the device's trap table, with values ok or delete. An admin sets this to 'delete' when decommissioning an old trap receiver, such as after replacing a monitoring server, to clean the corresponding entry from the trapDest table. Leaving it at 'ok' simply keeps the associated trap destination entry active.
